All Stars Test Match Experience 2018
All Stars Test Match Experience
As Edgbaston hosted England’s 1000th Test Match, All Stars from across the country were invited to take part in this historic event.
Firstly, on Monday, over 50 All Stars children had the opportunity to meet and take part in a mini press conference with three England Superstars. Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali and Jamie Porter faced some challenging question from the young All Stars. Question’s ranged from; can you floss? To what is your favourite flavour of crisps? A real contrast to other media duties they would have to fulfil leading up to the start of the Test!!
The All Stars then had the opportunity to get autographs and photos with the England Players. Following on from the press conference an All Stars session took place where the children got the chance to practice the skills they have learned at their centre this summer and then were able to watch the start of the England Training session, whilst enjoying a spot of lunch in the sun!
A truly great day that will be remembered for a long time!
Days 1 and 2 of the Test Match we hosted over 120 All Stars and their families to Edgbaston to enjoy a great day’s cricket between England and India.
16 lucky children on each day won a chance to welcome the teams onto the ground forming a guard of honour at the start of play.
During the lunch interval all the All Stars were invited onto the outfield to take part in an All Stars session in front of the well renowned Eric Hollies stand. The All Stars may have interrupted some lunch time refreshments with balls flying into the crowd from some huge hitting by the excited All Stars.
The children and their families then had the opportunity to enjoy the remainder of the days play with the test match at the end of day 2 poised in an exciting position.
