Three Trophies were presented:
WARWICKSHIRE LEAGUE AWARD presented by Neil Garland
Water Orton CC
Commended: Castle Bromwich
Phil Sperring and Alan Crouch have carried on Water Orton’s tradition of creating consistent high performing pitches. The club continues to be well presented across all areas. And the youth section has started to thrive again.
BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE AWARD
Harborne CC
Commended: K&D and Coventry & NW.
Peter Day from Harborne has now moved to Wolverhampton CC which is a loss to Warwickshire cricket but congratulations are still in order for his efforts at Harborne over the last few years leading to them topping the pitch marks table amongst Warwickshire clubs.
GEOFF CALCOTT SHIELD presented by Sioban and Chris Calcott.
This award is about the consistent quality of the pitches, outfield and overall presentation of the club. It is for the clubs in the heart of the County where Geoff had so many associations. It is also about clubs performing across all levels – Geoff was a cricketer and groundsman who cared passionately about cricket development as well as pitches.
